In summer Arctic Norway offers the Midnight Sun, but in winter it offers so much more! The possibility of stunning Northern Lights and exciting winter activities is an irresistable combination. Tromso is a beautiful city, and justly popular for a Northern Lights break. Kirkenes, on the Russian border, has recently been named as one of the 25 best worldwide adventure destinations by National Geographic Magazine. Either offers an unforgettable winter break, or you can combine the two with a couple of days on the Coastal Voyage (Hurtigruten)and a visit to the North Cape.

Tromsø
A lively city 200 miles north of the Arctic Circle, with superb restaurants, museums and stunning Arctic Cathedral. Winter city breaks offer the possibility of Northern Lights, husky safaris, and a host of other winter activities. An excursion through the Lyngen Alps to Skjervoy, followed by a four-hour evening cruise back to Tromso on the Hurtigruten offers an excellent opportunity to enjoy the stunning lanscape, and maybe have a grand-stand seat for the Northern Lights!
